Welcome to Apollo Arts, where I showcase my Fine Art Drawings of man's greatest adventure: Project Apollo.

All my original artwork is created by hand, using graphite pencils on paper. I also create all of my Fine Art Prints myself, using archival inks and Fine Art paper in order to keep the highest quality of each print under my control.

I hope that you will leave here with both, my excitement and enthusiasm for the incredible adventure that is space exploration, and my appreciation for the thousands of people that have made it happen.

I am an artist member of the International Association of Astronomical Artists (IAAA), a member of the National Space Society and The British Interplanetary Society.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or comments.

Apollo Arts

Hi everyone,

Happy 50th Anniversary of the flight of Apollo 14. I've just finished working on some new pieces of that mission, which I hope to include in my gallery soon.

I hope that everyone is keeping well and staying safe. My family and I are staying home, whenever possible.

The latest addition to the gallery is my portrait of Apollo 15 astronaut "Jim Irwin". It's being included (in digital form) in an exhibition called, "The Beauty of Space" that is being hosted by the US Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. For the exhibit, the portrait is digitally  combined with the ones of Dave Scott and Al Worden to make up the complete Apollo 15 crew.

Prints of these pictures are now available to purchase through the links under each picture in the Gallery.

Stay safe and stay home everyone. - Doug - February, 2021

Doug Forrest - Apollo Reflections

I was interviewed at Spacefest X in 2019 and asked to reflect on the Apollo Program and its influences on my artwork.

Many thanks to Jeremy Theoret and his company Apollospace for allowing me to share it here with you.

The Space Show - Interview...

I was asked to guest on the online radio program, "The Space Show", at the beginning of November, 2018. It's hosted by Dr. David Livingstone and has been running for about 18 years, with all sorts of interesting topics explored. There is an archive of every one of them that can be searched on the website.
